The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home by using a combined gross family income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family income isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the website missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply more info timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
